The World Heart Federation is pleased to announce that abstract submissions are now open for the World Congress on Rheumatic Heart Disease, which is taking place on 2-4 November 2023 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The World Congress on RHD, hosted by the World Heart Federation in partnership with other leading organizations in the field, will bring together global experts on RHD, including researchers, practitioners, patients and advocates, to learn about the latest research, share key challenges and explore effective solutions to ending rheumatic heart disease once and for all.

All abstracts must be submitted in English

NOTE: Abstracts submitted by email, fax or post will NOT be accepted. The conference organizers will not accept responsibility for any abstracts that have not been properly submitted according to the instructions.
Late-breaking abstracts
Abstracts must contain original scientific data collected by the author(s) that was not available at the time of the original abstract submission deadline (5 June, 2023). Only a limited number of late breaking abstracts will be accepted.
All abstracts will be reviewed by the Organizing Committee. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to determine whether a submission is accepted for oral presentation or a poster and its decision is final. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to edit abstracts for grammar and clarity. The Abstract may be scheduled for presentation on any day from 2-4 November 2023. One of the authors must attend the congress to give the presentation or be present at the poster sessions. If no author is able to attend, the abstract will not be published.
Structure

The title must be brief, concise, and in CAPITAL LETTERS.

Authors: Please enter your name and your colleagues’ names as you wish them to appear in the final programme.

The abstract should follow the template structure below and respect the words limit

The Scientific Committee reserves the right to redact any submission.

Do not include references in the abstract.

Do not include keywords in the abstract.

Abbreviations should be spelled out, in parenthesis, in its first use in the abstract.
Correspondence
Corresponding authors must provide the organizers with their full mailing address, phone number, and email address. Author and co-author information must be provided including the first and last names of all authors, their department, institution/hospital, city, state if applicable and country. Abstracts must contain original scientific data collected by the author(s). All abstracts will be reviewed by the Organizing Committee. Poster Format
Posters will be presented as e-posters on screens during the conference. Additional details will be provided to selected posters presenters.
Embargo
All abstracts will be available publicly on the corresponding meeting webpage, under the abstract section, two weeks prior to the event.
The information contained in the accepted abstracts will be under embargo until the release on the webpage two weeks prior to the event.

Note: Violation of this policy will be taken seriously. Individuals and/or sponsors who violate it may face sanctions relating to current and future abstract submissions, presentations and visibility at any WHF event. The Organizing Committee is at liberty to ban attendance and/or retract data.
Abstract disclosures (COI and off label products)

Conflict of interest: For each author, any relevant financial relationship with the provider of commercial products or services discussed in their educational presentation or that have directly supported the CME activity through an educational grant to the sponsoring organization(s).

Off label products: If any product that is discussed in the abstract is not labelled for the use under discussion, or if the product is still investigational, this must be clearly stated in the abstract.
NOTE: The intent of disclosure is not to prevent a participant with financial or other relationships from making a presentation, but rather to provide participants with adequate information about the relationship(s).
